Bring a Children’s Book to the Kickoff

Admission to the party is free with a new or gently used elementary school-level children’s book for donation to the drive. If you don’t bring one along, quality children’s literature will be available for sale and donation on site from Books Inc.

15% of proceeds from book sales at the event will be donated to the Jewish Coalition for Literacy.

JCL 2005 Chanukah Book Drive Kickoff

Each year the Jewish Coalition for Literacy (JCL) collects and donates hundreds of books to public schools and after-school programs in need. Help us launch this year's drive with latkes and literature!

The Unthinkable Thoughts of Jacob Green Join us for a reading by local author Joshua Braff, who will share passages from his novel The Unthinkable Thoughts of Jacob Green. Book signing, festive Chanukah fare and wine will follow.

While the book drive is for kids, this is an event for adults.
