Volunteer tutors are the backbone of our organization.
We provide structured training and place our tutors 1-on-1 or with small groups of children in grades Kâ5 for reading support. If you are interested in becoming a JCL volunteer reading tutor, please submit the registration form below.

Volunteers age 14 and up may tutor independently.

Time Commitments
A minimum of one hour per week is requested.

Sign up for a JCL Tutor Training Session. Choose a session date above and complete the registration form to get started.

Attend a Training
Attend our 2-hour online JCL Orientation and Training Session.

Volunteer Information Form
Fill out and submit the JCL Volunteer Information Form (provided with post-training documents).

Complete background check
For ages 18+, complete a fingerprint background check.
